According to Kae Batiquin of Holicow PH, this three-day pop-up fair is a celebration of collaboration, creation, entrepreneurship, and education as we witness the world-class talent of Visayan designers and artisans, specifically those coming from the provinces of Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, and Negros Oriental. “This event features exciting items designed by the celebrated Kalibutan Project, a network of 39 small craft businesses in the provinces comprising Region 7 who work with a team of designers, including Happy Garaje, Mona Alcudia, Jobel Diño, Issa Cacnio, and other artisans.” “Kalibutan,” which means “the world” and “awareness” in Cebuano, aims to foster a stronger and mutually beneficial relationship between designers and artisans so they can continue their livelihood especially during times of challenges.
