Generation HOPE Builds Classrooms with Filipino Brands
May 28, 2025HOPE, the Philippines' first certified B Corp and a trailblazing impact organization, has launched Generation HOPE, a nationwide initiative uniting beloved Filipino brands to help fund public school classrooms.
In partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), this movement enables Filipinos to support education by purchasing from purpose-driven brands including BDO, Carmen’s Best, Grab, Penshoppe, Aivee Clinic, SM Supermalls, and Sunnies. Together, they aim to close the education gap by providing safe, quality learning spaces for Filipino children.
HOPE Founder Nanette Medved-Po stated, “In a divided world, let’s come together for a cause we all believe in: investing in the youth to build our nation.”
Each partner brand offers unique ways for customers to contribute:
BDO: Launching a “HOPE in Every Spend” credit card; users can donate via spending, reward points, and membership fees.
Carmen’s Best: Introducing limited-edition “Hope in a Scoop” and “Hope in a Pint” products.
Grab: Allowing donations and classroom support via GrabRewards points.
Aivee Clinic: Offering a special Aivee x HOPE collection, including limited-edition items and Skin Bank cards.
Penshoppe: Releasing HOPE-themed apparel and accessories.
SM Supermalls: Donating a portion of sales from SM water bottles.
Sunnies: Launching a clean lens kit and Sunnies Flask for the cause.
DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara emphasized the value of such collaboration: “Education is a shared responsibility. Through Generation HOPE, we remove barriers and ensure every child has a place to learn.”
