Disney Adventure Documentary Premieres on Disney+, National Geographic, and JioHotstar
November 05, 2026
Disney Cruise Line is pulling back the curtain on its newest vessel through a dedicated documentary, Disney Adventure: Charting a New Course, dropping on Disney+, National Geographic, and JioHotstar starting November 28, 2026.
The feature traces the ship's build in Germany all the way to its homeport in Singapore, documenting what it took to bring Disney's first Asia-based cruise ship to life.

Here is a quick look at what the documentary goes into:
➤ Behind the Scenes in Germany
Captures the structural build, cast rehearsals, and how Imagineers brought its seven themed zones to life. It also offers a look at the rehearsal process for "Remember," an exclusive Broadway-style stage show featuring WALL-E and EVE's stage debut.
➤ Asian Cultural Influences
Highlights how local touches were woven into the ship, including Indian musicians using traditional instruments to re-score The Jungle Book soundtrack for Mowgli’s Eatery.
➤ A Local Spotlight
Focuses on First Officer Hanisah Valberg—a native Singaporean crew member—as she navigates the ship's voyage back to her hometown.
➤ The Singapore Launch: Culminates in the vessel's arrival and christening ceremony in Singapore, featuring ship godfather Robert Downey Jr.
For context, the Disney Adventure is currently running three and four-night sailings out of Singapore across its seven themed areas (including Toy Story Place, San Fransokyo Street, and Marvel Landing), with select four-night itineraries adding stops in Langkawi, Malaysia starting December 31, 2026.
