KTO Manila Kicks Off Korea Travel Fiesta 2024

Celebrating 75 years of diplomatic ties between the Philippines and Korea, the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) Manila Office hosted the Korean Travel Fiesta 2024, a two-day event at Glorietta and Palm Drive Activity Centers in Makati, showcasing Korea's tourism and culture to Filipinos.
VISIT K-ZONES
The celebration featured various interactive zones that features Korean culture. Attendees could explore the K-Travel Zone for travel info, the K-Activity Zone for authentic experiences like tasting Korean cuisine, trying on traditional dress Hanbok, and engaging in K-pop and K-beauty activities, and the Kids Zone for creative DIY crafts. Exhibitors, including airlines for cheap fares, travel agencies, and tourism organizations, also presented offerings for those planning trips to Korea.
EXTRA SPECIAL K-GUESTS
The two-day event opened with a lively performance by KTO’s Kingdom Friends characters—Hojong, Mugo, and Kawoo. Filipino and Korean artists made appearances, including Running Man PH stars Glaiza De Castro, Kokoy De Santos, and Buboy Villar, who shared their experiences in Korea.
Highlights included a comedic musical performance from CHEF, actress Melai Cantiveros discussing family tourism, and live performances from K-drama singer PUNCH, hip-hop dance team WOLF'LO, and EXO's Xiumin, who gave travel tips and performed his hits, much to the delight of K fans.
K-ACTIVITIES FOR EVERYONE
The Korea Travel Fiesta 2024 offered engaging activities like personal color, makeup, and hair demos by Korean experts, along with fun challenges such as the Spicy Ramen Challenge, Blindfold Makeup Challenge, and K-pop Random Play Dance, all involving attendee participation.

As Filipinos plan holiday trips, the Korea Travel Fiesta promotes Korea's enchanting winter, offering a deeper understanding of its culture. Mr. YoungChoong Seo, Acting President of the Korea Tourism Organization, expressed gratitude for Filipinos' love of Korean culture and invited families to experience Korea's winter season, from snow-covered landscapes to winter activities and festivals.
